Planner's Dining Club At RGNY Vineyard

Planner’s Dining Club At RGNY Vineyard

This edition of the Planners Dining Club took place at RGNY Winery, a modern, family-owned vineyard nestled in the North Fork of Long Island. Known for its sustainable farming practices and Mexican-American heritage, RGNY is more than just a vineyard—it’s a thoughtfully curated event space that balances rustic charm with contemporary elegance. The tasting room features floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the vines, while the barrel cellar and expansive lawn offer unique settings for gatherings of all kinds. The vineyard’s versatile layout, stunning natural backdrops, and dedication to high-quality wine made it the perfect setting for a collaborative, community-centered evening.

The Planner’s Dining Club is a gathering built on connection, celebration, and creativity within the event planning community. Founded by our owner and creative director Jove Meyer, the evening took pace to honor the often behind-the-scenes magic-makers, the series brings together top planners, designers, and producers for intentionally curated evenings that spark collaboration and friendship. RGNY featured thoughtfully chosen vendors Josi Blu, Afrik Arnando, Designs by Ahn, Polk Paper, etc etc who align with the spirit of the gathering—welcoming, generous, and creative.

Cocktail Hour

Planners checked into their stylish accommodations at American Beech, a chic boutique hotel nestled in the heart of the North Fork. After settling in, they were whisked away by local trolleys, setting the tone for a night of connection, celebration, and creativity. As the sun began to dip low over the vineyards, the trolleys pulled up to RGNY Winery, where the evening officially began.

Guests were welcomed with a cocktail hour in RGNY’s tasting room made more modern by fun playful furniture and modern lighting. Planners were greeted with seasonal signature cocktails and guided through a tasting of RGNY’s wines. Live music by a local guitarist and artist added warmth to the atmosphere, while a preview of the vibrant artwork by Josi Blu created a fun photo moment for planners so often behind the scenes. Modern lighting design created a playful, welcoming energy, guiding guests into a night that was thoughtfully designed to celebrate the people who are always behind the scenes—event planners themselves.

Dinner Among Art

The design of the evening was inspired by Monet’s Blue Period, with his iconic tones serving as the palette that wove through every detail. As planners transitioned from cocktail hour into the barn at RGNY, they were immediately awe-struck by a fabric ceiling installation by Josi Blu—a masterpiece in itself and a huge inspiration for the evening. Suspended overhead, the piece evoked the softness of a Monet painting through color, yet maintained a thoroughly modern edge with stitched-together square panels, each expertly crafted by hand.

As light moved across the space, the panels shifted in mood and texture, catching soft glows and deep shadows that brought a sense of intimacy and transformation to the room. The installation created a canopy of color and shape, casting a romantic, artful ambiance that set the tone for the rest of the night.

But it wasn’t just the space that carried the artistic theme—the planners themselves became part of the painting. Dressed in hues pulled from the evening’s palette—soft blues, muted lavenders, creamy yellows, and sage greens—they blended into the environment, transforming the room into a living canvas. It felt as though you weren’t just in a beautifully designed space—you were inside the artwork itself. With every shift of lighting, guests became moving brushstrokes, dynamic parts of the composition, contributing to the sense that the entire evening was a work of collaborative art.

Each dining table was monochromatic, styled in a single hue from the palette and grounded in that rich Monet blue. The effect was painterly and immersive, yet structured and bold. The tablescapes echoed the geometry of the ceiling art, arranged in a grid-like formation that gave the space both harmony and intention.

Adding another layer of texture and takeaway, Polk Paper designed menus inspired by Monet’s brushstrokes but reimagined in a modern graphic print, each one printed on fabric for guests to take home as a keepsake. The design was both a tactile moment and a memento—blurring the line between art and function.

Special Performances + Surprises

Throughout the evening, the lighting continued to evolve, transforming the hanging panels and the entire atmosphere with it. Nothing ever felt still or stagnant. Instead, planners were gently guided on a journey of light, color, and emotion, where art wasn’t just on the walls or the ceiling—it was something you stepped into, dressed for, and lived within.

Total Entertainment suprised the planners with a 90s boy band performance which had everyone on their feet. The sense of fun and levity felt perfect for the evening!

As planner'‘s headed back to the trolley to head home, a gorgeous + fun dessert food truck by the Treatery was a perfect snack for the way back to the hotel. RGNY also gifted a bottle of wine to each planner to enjoy from the comfort of their hotel.
