An Intimate and Natural at Home Hamptons Wedding
The Venue: Home
Our couple envisioned an intimate and natural Hamptons backyard wedding, and we designed a celebration that seamlessly blended intimacy, elegance, and the beauty of the Hamptons landscape. Hosting a small religious ceremony at their family’s new modern home, they wanted to enhance the space with organic elements while maintaining a unique and personal feel. We thoughtfully optimized the property, bringing in the necessary infrastructure for a seamless production and sourcing the best local vendors to create an unforgettable experience. Every detail was carefully curated to transform their vision into a beautifully executed, one-of-a-kind celebration. By blending organic textures with the home's contemporary design, we crafted a wedding that felt both naturally elegant and uniquely personal.
The Paper
We recommended and worked with Bat Flower Press, an exceptional letterpress and paper making studio in the Lower Hudson Valley, to design sustainable paper details that aligned perfectly with our couple’s values. Their expertise in handcrafted paper and artistic letterpress designs, made from locally sourced recycled materials and farm waste, brought an eco-conscious yet elegant touch to the celebration. Thoughtfully crafted by hand, each piece showcased unique artistry—pressed flowers adorned the menus and drink signs, while the ceremony programs featured hand-dyed honey-yellow edges. Green handwritten names on the menus added a personal, thoughtful touch for each guest, elevating the experience with a blend of natural beauty and custom detail.
The Ceremony
The chuppah featured sculptural elements with modern, clean lines that created a striking visual against the natural beauty of the backyard. The dark wooden frame of the chuppah brought a sense of strength and elegance, providing a bold contrast to the soft, organic blooms. The couple adored the chuppah with four heartfelt wishes for their future, one on each post, adding a deeply personal and meaningful touch to the structure. The minimalist, sculptural design was beautifully enhanced by the flowing vines and yellow blooms, creating a perfect balance of contemporary aesthetics and natural beauty. This fusion of modern design with symbolic elements reflected the couple’s vision for a stylish yet meaningful ceremony.
Dinner
The place settings were simple, sophisticated, and modern, with a sense of handmade, artisanal features that added warmth and character. The plates, with their unique textures and subtle imperfections, highlighted the couple’s appreciation for craftsmanship and authenticity. Each detail, from the carefully chosen yellow linens in natural fibers to the thoughtfully arranged tableware, reflected a refined yet personal style. The combination of modern elegance with artisanal elements created a stunning, balanced aesthetic, allowing guests to feel both immersed in beauty and connected to the couple's love for craftsmanship and thoughtful design. As guests moved to the dinner area, they were greeted by tables adorned with beautiful flowers in soft shades of yellow and hints of bright orange, with modern and interesting greenery perfectly arranged in tight shapes with romance. The modern light wood wingback chairs were once again used, maintaining the sleek, sophisticated vibe of the celebration. Each place setting was thoughtfully adorned with delicate lavender bunches, allowing guests to enjoy their fragrant beauty and take home a keepsake from the evening. The seamless flow of design elements helped create a memorable, cohesive atmosphere that celebrated both the couple's style and their surroundings.
More Details
Inside the house, the dessert display was served in the family kitchen, creating an intimate and fun atmosphere that made guests feel right at home. The cake, which featured gluten-free flour and fresh fruit, was a delicious and thoughtful touch. We also created a stunning champagne tower using modern champagne coupes, adding an element of celebration and sophistication. On a long wooden table, we curated a tablescape featuring family heirloom wedding photos, paying tribute to the couple's legacy and honoring their loved ones.
The signing of the ketubah took place at this same long table, creating a meaningful and personal moment. The wooden chairs were adorned with yellow flowers, tying back to the vibrant blooms of the chuppah and seamlessly connecting the different spaces of the celebration.
