A Bright + Beautiful Celestine Brunch for Jove + Kyle
The Venue: Celestine
For their Sunday brunch, Jove and Kyle chose Celestine in Brooklyn—a stunning waterfront restaurant with sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline and the Williamsburg Bridge for a bright and beautiful experience for all their guests. The space, known for its Mediterranean-inspired menu and warm, modern design, struck the perfect balance between relaxed and refined, making it an ideal setting to wind down the wedding weekend. Jove and Kyle were drawn to Celestine not only for its exceptional food and natural light, but also for the way it echoed the intimacy and joy that defined their celebration. It was a place where guests could gather casually, share stories from the night before, and soak in the final moments of a weekend full of love.
Brunch was served buffet-style, allowing guests to come and go at their own pace, creating a relaxed and easygoing atmosphere that felt true to Jove and Kyle’s vision. They wanted the final event of the weekend to feel effortless—a chance for loved ones to reconnect, recharge, and relive favorite moments from the wedding without the formality of a seated meal. Celestine’s light-filled space and seamless indoor-outdoor flow made it the perfect backdrop for this casual yet beautiful gathering, where guests could sip coffee, enjoy Mediterranean-inspired dishes, and savor a slow Sunday together.
The Attire: Florals
In true Jove Meyer fashion, guests were encouraged to wear colorful florals to the brunch—a playful and signature detail that brought the entire space to life. This thoughtful dress code added a layer of joy and visual cohesion, turning the room into a vibrant tapestry of pattern and personality. It was a nod to Jove’s love of bold expression and intentional design, ensuring the energy of celebration carried through to the very last moment. Against the soft, sunlit backdrop of Celestine, the floral-clad guests became part of the décor themselves—radiating love, color, and community.
The Decor
For the brunch, art and florals merged in spectacular fashion thanks to a collaboration with visual artist Rachel B. Hayes and creative partner Josana Blue. Rachel’s vibrant fabric installation was dramatically hung just outside Celestine’s floor-to-ceiling windows, where it caught the breeze and filtered the morning light into waves of shifting color. Known for her work with transparency and movement, Rachel created a piece that danced with the elements, blurring the line between indoors and out. Inside, hand-beaded flowers by Lé Metierr adorned tables and surfaces—each one meticulously crafted and shimmering with detail. Together, these artistic touches transformed the space into an immersive, gallery-like farewell, where guests were enveloped in beauty at every turn.
