With multiple rooms and flexible layouts, 99 Scott offered us endless possibilities for customization. Its strategic location in East Williamsburg provides easy access for guests while adding to the venue's vibrant and artistic ambiance. 99 Scott set the stage for memorable experiences in the heart of Brooklyn's thriving cultural scene which spoke to Amber and Andy’s love story and taste! Andy had previously lived near the venue before moving in with Amber, making its location a testament to the journey of their relationship.

The Stationary

Amber and Andy's love for the 70s, coupled with their vibrant personalities, inspired the creation of their wedding stationery in collaboration with Forteen-Forty. Each piece, from the welcome dinner invitations to the main event at 99 Scott, was seamlessly tied together. The couple selected bright yellows, sky blue, and oranges, mirroring the vibrant hues of their wedding day design. Inspired by Jove's idea, Vinyl helped create "stained glass" windows, introducing an unprecedented element to the venue. The invitations featured a charming hand-drawn portrait of the couple and their cat, complemented by rounded shapes and fonts reminiscent of the disco era, which influenced the wedding decor with its iconic disco balls. Scalloped edges added a playful touch, setting the tone for an unforgettable celebration.

The Ceremony

Amber and Andy chose to hold their ceremony in the outdoor space at 99 Scott, a decision that perfectly balanced the venue's industrial backdrop with a soft, organic, and romantic ambiance. Working closely with the florist, we curated a palette that softened the venue's industrial edges while enhancing its natural charm. Despite having a rain plan prepared, the storm clouds passed, granting the couple a picturesque outdoor ceremony. The aisle flowers were inspired by Amber’s bouquet which incorporated periwinkle. Amber's bridesmaids complemented the wedding's saturated colors with paler shades, and wildflowers and grasses adorned the aisle, leading to a breathtaking archway adorned with pink and white roses with tons of greenery in organic shapes—a stunning focal point for their vows. Benches were selected for seating, creating a warm, relaxed atmosphere that set the tone for the joyous evening ahead.

Lounges

Throughout the cocktail and ceremony spaces at 99 Scott, we crafted stylish lounges adorned in the vibrant colors of Amber and Andy's wedding. These lounges were designed to be both elevated and elegant, yet infused with a playful spirit that echoed the couple's fun-loving personalities. Ensuring guests felt comfortable throughout the evening, our lounge design seamlessly integrated the round and whimsical shapes seen in the invitations, adding an artful dimension to the ambiance. This thoughtful arrangement allowed everyone to relax and enjoy themselves while celebrating and dancing the night away in a setting that reflected Amber and Andy's unique style and joyful union.

Reception

Jove envisioned a reception space at 99 Scott that was as distinctive and lively as the couple themselves. Leveraging the venue's expansive industrial windows, he conceived the idea of crafting "stained glass" with the assistance of a vinyl company. This innovative design not only capitalized on the natural light but also transformed the ambiance as day transitioned to night, dynamically shifting the colors of the glass and keeping guests captivated throughout the celebration. The result was a mesmerizing and ever-evolving atmosphere that perfectly complemented the joy and vibrancy of Amber and Andy's special day.

Amber and Andy embraced the charm of exposed wood long tables for their reception, complemented by a modern touch with ghost chairs. The blue candles harmonized beautifully with Amber's bouquet, adding a personal touch to the table settings. Fruits and wildflowers adorned the tables, evoking a lush and festive atmosphere reminiscent of a bountiful feast. A particularly cherished detail was the incorporation of marbles, reflecting Amber's personal collection and adding a unique and sentimental element to the decor.

Above, the ceilings shimmered with various sizes of disco balls, casting a playful and dynamic light that evolved throughout the evening, enhancing the ambiance and contributing to the celebratory mood. This blend of personal touches and creative design elements transformed the reception space into a reflection of Amber and Andy's style and love story, creating a creative and funky atmosphere that felt true to the couple.

More Personal Details

Another standout detail at Amber and Andy's wedding was the use of Amber's mother's collection of pie dishes for the dessert display. Instead of a conventional wedding cake, Amber opted for an array of pies in various flavors, beautifully presented on her mother's cherished cake dishes. This choice not only added a personal touch but also honored a meaningful family tradition, adding to the warm and nostalgic atmosphere.

Additionally, a custom wallpaper designed in collaboration with 1440 adorned the walls, serving as a captivating backdrop for photographs throughout the celebration. Guests thoroughly enjoyed posing against this unique backdrop, capturing memorable moments and adding to the festive spirit of the occasion. These thoughtful details not only reflected Amber and Andy's personalities but also ensured their wedding was filled with personal touches.
