A Warm + Timeless Bowery Hotel Wedding

A Warm and Timeless Bowery Hotel Wedding Reception

The Venue

This warm + timeless Bowery Hotel wedding is near and dear to our hearts at Jove Meyer Events. Nestled in the heart of Lower Manhattan, The Bowery Hotel stands as a symbol of timeless elegance and urban sophistication. With its historic charm and artistic ambiance, the Bowery Hotel was the perfect backdrop for our couple Paige + Robert’s wedding. The couple sought after Jove Meyer Events to design a wedding rich in personal touches and New York City glamour. As soon as guests stepped through the grand entrance of The Bowery Hotel, they were transported to a world where Old New York meets modern luxury. The hotel's rich history is reflected in its architecture, boasting exposed brick walls, high ceilings, and vintage-inspired plush furnishings. The warm, inviting atmosphere set the perfect stage for guests to enjoy the Bowery’s amazing food and ambiance. The couple worked with Jove to create a cozy atmosphere reminiscent of enjoying a drink by the fire. The couple loved that their guests would be surrounded by velvet curtains and tapestries signature to the Bowery Hotel. We sought to create a modern day fairy tale for our couple.

The Invitations

The wedding invitation boasted a hand drawn gold embossed illustration of the iconic Bowery Hotel venue, colorful paint strokes, and modern typography encapsulating the couple’s unique style. The couple first met in Miami Floridas, so we made sure to incorporate details that called on that experience.

The Ceremony

The chuppah for the couple's fairytale ceremony was a stunning display, embellished with numerous flowers in a palette of light pink, mauve, burgundy, and red. Intertwined with branches, vines, and greenery, the floral installation seamlessly brought the outdoors inside. Overhead, the soft glow of string lights cast an enchanting illusion of sitting beneath the stars. We used dark chiavari chairs for the ceremony to complement the classic ambiance of the Bowery Hotel, but chose a dark color to compliment the drama of the moodiness of the florals.

The Reception Tables

Dramatic floral centerpieces in various shades of red adorned the lengthy tables at the reception, creating a captivating focal point. Accompanying these centerpieces were elegant long tapered red candles, enhancing the overall romantic atmosphere of the evening. The tables were set with a blend of modern and antique-inspired tableware, seamlessly merging the old-world charm of New York and the old-world European ambiance that characterizes the Bowery as well as the couple’s love for artistic details.

The Guest Experience Start to Finish

The bride and groom, who first connected in Miami, brought a touch of their roots to the wedding by featuring Mojitos during the cocktail hour and music featuring a latin band. Prioritizing the guest experience, the couple with Jove’s expert advice thoughtfully curated welcome bags that encompassed everything needed for out of town guests to have an enjoyable weekend in NYC. These welcome bags included iconic elements such as Dr. Brown's Soda, classic nuts, New York City guide, NYC Fat Witch Brownies, local candles, and a “style and wedding guide.” The reusable bag was designed reminiscent of a classic take-away bag featuring the couple's signature floral illustration. Jove and our design team played a crucial role in designing these thoughtful elements. Upon leaving the wedding, guests took home personalized drawings illustrated by a live artist, cafecito cups with the couple’s logo to remember the occasion by, and shake shack!
