The Venue: Wythe Hotel

When you have two brides who want their wedding to feel like the party of the year, you need a venue that can keep up. The Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg was the perfect setting for these two brides and their vision of a wedding that was anything but understated. With its exposed brick, industrial architecture, and unmistakable Brooklyn cool, the hotel already had a strong point of view. We wanted to lean into that character while bringing in a whole new layer of color, pattern, sparkle, and personality. The vibe was divas, disco, and unapologetic celebration. The goal was to create a New York City wedding that felt glamorous without feeling too polished, nostalgic without feeling dated, and above all, completely true to the couple. The Wythe gave us the perfect canvas to turn the volume all the way up.

The Ceremony

For the ceremony, we wanted to create a moment that felt just as celebratory as the women saying “I do.” The Wythe Hotel’s Garden Terrace gave us an incredible backdrop with its old brick walls, lush greenery, and that very New York mix of industrial and romantic. It was the perfect setting for these two brides, who each brought so much personality and style to the day. Their ceremony needed to feel romantic, of course, but never overly traditional. It needed to have a point of view.

Bright red chairs brought a bold pop of color to the historic brick walls and lush greenery, reflecting the brides’ confident, fashion-forward energy. The custom ceremony backdrop by Josana Blue softened the space with oversized white paper lanterns stacked and clustered into a sculptural installation. The mix felt very much like them: classic pieces paired with strong statements, softness alongside structure, and just enough edge to keep things interesting. Together, the details created a ceremony that felt romantic, modern, and full of personality, without ever overshadowing the two women everyone was there to celebrate.

The Dinner

Then it was time to take the party inside, and the Main Hall got a full-on diva makeover. The ceiling was dripping in layers of colorful fringe, creating a canopy of movement that transformed the industrial space into a disco dream. Disco balls peeked through the fringe, catching the light and adding even more sparkle overhead, while oversized balloon installations brought bursts of color throughout the room.

The tables were dressed in bold, funky patterns that added another layer of personality, paired with vibrant florals that felt just as joyful and full of color as the rest of the room. Red chairs pulled the look together, while candlelight and all that fringe kept the space feeling warm and inviting. Every corner had something to look at, from the flowers to the balloons to the disco balls dancing above the tables. The result was a maximalist wedding design that felt cohesive, energetic, and full of personality.

Other Details

The smaller details brought even more of the couple into the celebration. Their signature cocktails were an ode to their dogs, Zane and Bowie, naturally giving their beloved pups a moment in the spotlight. The cake leaned into a vintage-inspired feel, but with a fun, irreverent twist that kept it from feeling too traditional. Nothing was precious, everything had personality.

The stationery from Bergamot Studios and custom dance floor carried the same bold visual language as the rest of the celebration. Every piece felt connected, creating a visual story that carried guests from ceremony to dinner to the dance floor. And then came the airbrush T-shirts, bringing in that nostalgic, slightly campy feeling we all love. They felt like the perfect party favor for a night this big, this colorful, and this unapologetically fun. Every detail felt considered, but never overly serious. Because this wedding was never about following the rules. It was about having the best time possible, with the people they love most.
