A Lush + Romantic Troutbeck Wedding

The Venue

Maddy and Kevin's lush and romantic wedding was held at the breathtaking Troutbeck, a beloved venue among nature lovers and those seeking an unforgettable destination weekend just two hours from the city. Boasting an array of spaces, indoors and out — ranging from a stunning garden to an exquisite pool —it was the perfect setting for our couple who love incredible food, and wanted to host multiple events in this serene setting. The iconic red bridge in front of the stone house was the perfect setting for the couple’s “first look.”

The Paper Details

Collaborating with Janelle Sing, we crafted a wedding invitation designed to evoke the enchanting ambiance awaiting guests throughout the weekend. Featuring delicate handwritten lettering and intricate illustrations, the invitation design beautifully reflected the charm of the venue and the romance of the impending wedding. On the big day, the stationer extended their artistry to create menus, programs, napkins, and drink signs, each adorned with the artist's illustrations capturing the essence of Troutbeck's scenery and the floral motifs of the wedding design. Additionally, Julia Bez contributed a stunning modern touch with a hanging seating chart on acrylic, adding a captivating contemporary element to the event. The ketubah was sourced by the couples and brought in a similar watercolor feel with a geometric and modern twist.

The Ceremony

Fox Fodder Farm's artistry shone through in their creation of a stunning chuppah, fashioned from natural wood and adorned with an asymmetrical floral installation that added a touch of whimsical elegance. The ceremony was a vision of cheerfulness and brightness, with vibrant hues of white, pink, and yellow accentuated by an array of dahlias in various shapes and sizes. Potted green plants lining the aisles, coupled with cross-back white chairs, created an ambiance reminiscent of a lush greenhouse. As day turned to night, the enchantment continued with the soft glow of string lights adorning the tent, casting a magical ambiance over the celebration.

The Reception

Guests were led by flashlight from the walled garden to the ballroom in Troutbeck's main house. The hallway, a passage to the ballroom, underwent a breathtaking transformation orchestrated by Fox Fodder Farm. Fox Fodder created a wooden structure reminiscent of the chuppah to suspend greenery from the ceiling. Lush greenery, including hanging plants, moss, and potted plants, adorned the space, creating green oasis that perfectly complemented the art displayed throughout Troutbeck.

When guests entered the ballroom they were greeted by tables cast in candlelight. The floral arrangements by Fox Fodder were strikingly beautiful with their darker pink and red hues. Red tapers, and tea candles of different varieties surrounded the assymetical organic arrangements. Pomegranates, thoughtfully incorporated into the table decor, contributed to a feast-like atmosphere, inviting guests to indulge in the sensory delights of the evening.

Partying the Night Away

After an incredible meal by the culinary team at Troutbeck. The couple danced the night away with their friends and family stopping the fun only to cut their beautiful flower adorned cake by Lulu Cake Boutique. The cake featured an incredible scene of Kevin proposing to Maddy. Maddy + Kevin’s Troutbeck wedding felt like it was out of a fairy-tale from start to finish with its lush greenery and romantic design.
