The Paper

The stationery by Emily Baird Design for Molly and Max’s wedding was a masterpiece of modern elegance. The invitations featured anthuriums delicately embossed into the paper, creating a subtle yet striking visual that echoed the floral design. Modern green typography added a contemporary touch and brought in the Bowery’s green curtains into the design. A light blue envelope housed the invitation, offering a pop of soft color, while the floral envelope alluded to the floral palette of the event. The combination of texture, embossing, and thoughtful details made the stationery both tactile and visually stunning—a perfect introduction to the stylish celebration ahead. The stationery suite extended its thoughtful design to the day-of details, with menus that doubled as personalized touches for each guest. Each menu featured the guest's name elegantly printed along the vertical edge, creating a sleek and contemporary look while also serving as a functional place card. The escort card display echoed the modern and chic aesthetic, showcasing minimalist guest cards amidst arrangements of striking, contemporary flowers: baby’s breath and orchids. This seamless integration of design elements ensured that every detail, from the invitations to the tablescape, reflected the stylish and cohesive vision of Molly and Max’s unforgettable celebration.

The Ceremony

Before guests entered the ceremony space, they were greeted by an eye-catching display of concrete pedestals adorned with arrangements of white roses, pink cherry blossoms, peach anthuriums, and reflective disco balls, setting the tone for a celebration that was both modern and whimsical. The couple's chuppah, a breathtaking centerpiece, appeared almost cloud-like, crafted entirely from delicate baby's breath and cherry blossoms. The canopy seemed to float above them, creating a dreamlike and romantic ambiance. To add a modern contrast to the Bowery’s timeless aesthetic, light wood wingback chairs were chosen, blending sleek design with the warmth of natural materials to complete the stunning ceremony setting.

The Reception

For the reception, Bud’s of Brooklyn transformed the Bowery Hotel’s iconic chandeliers into stunning cloud-like floral statements, creating a dreamy and ethereal atmosphere overhead. Modern, sleek chairs contrasted beautifully with the venue's old-world charm, striking a perfect balance between contemporary design and timeless elegance. The tables featured sculptural bud vases and arrangements of anthuriums mirroring the floral motif from the invitations, displayed in chic white pottery for a clean, artistic look. Light grey-blue tablecloths provided a neutral base, while pink napkins added a cheerful pop of color, infusing the space with warmth and joy while allowing the white flowers to really pack a punch. The thoughtful design tied every element together, creating a reception that was both stylish and unforgettable.

The Cake

The all-white, clean, and modern wedding cake was a true statement piece, designed to complement the sleek aesthetic of Molly and Max’s celebration. The tiers, each a different size, created a visually dynamic and contemporary silhouette that was both minimalist and bold. The smooth, pristine white finish of the cake allowed its thoughtful adornments to shine: a single, chic pink anthurium stem paired with a delicate stem of pink orchids. These floral accents added a touch of softness and elegance, subtly nodding to the wedding's floral theme while maintaining the cake's striking simplicity. The overall design exuded sophistication, making it a perfect reflection of the couple's modern style and artistic vision.
