Planner's Dining Club At Chelsea Square

Planner’s Dining Club At Chelsea Square

The Planner’s Dining Club at Chelsea Square was brought to life through a collaboration between Jove Meyer and the esteemed RHC. Welcoming 34 of New York’s top wedding and event planners, the evening unfolded amidst the inspiring backdrop of Chelsea Square. The Planners Dining Club is dedicated to fostering community and creativity among event planners. It provides a platform for planners to connect and build bonds while exploring vendors we may not have encountered before. Chelsea Square renowned for its timeless sophistication and elegance, sits nestled in the vibrant Chelsea neighborhood, exuding charm and grandeur at every turn. With its rich history as a seminary, Chelsea Square often draws comparisons to "Hogwarts" from our clients, thanks to its historic details and enchanting ambiance. With the help of our incredible creative partners, this Planner’s Dining Club, inspired by “The Last of Us'“ was brought to life.

Cocktail Hour

As our guests entered the gates of Chelsea Square wearing different shades of green, they were greeted by the tranquil oasis of the courtyard and amazing craft cocktails by RHC. For the cocktail hour, the design incorporated a seamless fusion of the courtyard’s natural elements and modern design. Striking wooden furniture grounded the space, juxtaposed with contemporary and fun green velvet furniture for a harmonious balance. Gingham tablecloths brought a sense of fun and freshness to the design reminiscent of a picnic. Sculptural flower arrangements, including tulip bulbs intricately tied into formations atop white pedestals, resembled modern art installations. Vintage bohemian rugs in light pink and green added softness and character to the grassy surroundings. The beautiful white cherry blossom tree was in full bloom next to the bar which boasted rounded wooden bohemian shelves. Vintage green glassware added a pop of color and nostalgic charm. This thoughtful blend of elements created an atmosphere that was both inviting and visually captivating, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening of celebration. RHC served up delectable appetizers while The Haikuists penned personalized poems for each attendee, stamped with an original Art Deco inspired “Planners Dining Club” stamp. This first stage of the evening eased our guests into the world Jove Meyer created for the rest of the evening.

As the cocktail hour came to a close, guests were guided along a path illuminated by lanterns, weaving through the enchanting courtyard. They ascended the stunning mosaic and marble staircases, adorned with pillar candles arranged in captivating formations by Flover. The flickering candlelight cast a warm and inviting glow, setting the stage for a truly magical entrance into the refractory. As guest came up the stairs, they could hear the violinists from DWP Live Factory playing.

As the doors swung open to the refectory, the planners found themselves transported to a post-apocalyptic world where nature reigned supreme. Tables were arranged in a captivating caterpillar-like formation, adorned with tablecloths in varying shades of green and surrounded by sleek light blue modern wooden chairs. Guests were encouraged to take their seats amidst towering 20-foot bamboo trees, with plants sprouting from the floor and adorning the tabletops created by Flover. The arrangements exuded a sense of wildness yet retained a sculptural elegance, blending organic elements with modern design. Antique silver coupe glasses showcased delicate flowers floating in water, adding a touch of refinement to the untamed surroundings. Each place setting featured carved Art Deco menus crafted from wood, propped up on napkins alongside name cards bearing guests' names in a stylish fusion of modern and handwritten typography. It was a dining experience unlike any other, where guests were immersed in a world where nature and creativity intertwined seamlessly.

Dinner Among Friends + Nature

As guests mingled and connected with fellow planning professionals and vendors, they savored the delectable food and drinks provided by RHC. Throughout the evening, attendees were encouraged to switch seats and engage with new acquaintances, fostering an atmosphere of camaraderie and networking. Meanwhile, modern tube lights, expertly arranged by Universal Lighting and Sound, illuminated the stained glass windows of the refractory in unique formations, casting a mesmerizing blend of white and green hues that transformed the space throughout the evening. The music, curated by DWP Live Factory, continued to set the mood, while Haikuists ensured that each guest received a personalized poem, adding an extra touch of charm to the evening. Allan Zepeda captured candid moments of our guests, while Modern Love Videography expertly documented the entire event, even incorporating drone footage to showcase the captivating caterpillar tables in all their glory. It was truly a transformative and unforgettable evening for all who attended.
