The Perfect Wedding Event!
I was honored to be a guest speaker at #ThePerfectWedding Event put on by the FAB Janine Just, Inc! It was a lovely evening of industry experts, delicious treats, beautiful dresses, shoes, jewelry and soon to be brides and a few soon to be grooms! I offered some simple advice to couples getting married and for those of you who could not make it I have summarized it below. When planning a wedding I love to start the planning process with two simple but important lists: Must Haves and Must NOT Haves. I ask the couple to fill it out separately so they do not influence one another or write what they think the other would like them to write. I aim to make the wedding a reflection of the couple, not just one of them. I also emphasized planning a wedding that makes them happy, not planing to impress their guests.
Some wedding trends I am seeing and LOVING right now are Color blocking in flowers // Ombre (not just for hair, but dresses and design) // Blush gowns rather than traditional white // Mix and match bridesmaid dresses!
The sweet and southern Macey of Macey the Makeup Artist spoke next and gave some simple, yet practical, advice for makeup done right on a bride's big day!
Macey spoke about the rise of the clean and simple wedding look, which I LOVED! She could not say enough how important it was for a bride to feel like and look like herself on her wedding day. Some trends she is seeing this season are a smokey, plum-colored eye and soft lip color. She shared the three MUST HAVES for a bride on her BIG DAY! Powder with sponge //Lipgloss (gloss right before pictures!) // Mascara.
The last speaker of the night Urvi Tejani, the owner of Tejani Jewelry, where the event took place! She encouraged brides to make room in their budget for their jewelry and really requested brides come in sooner than later. She kept saying that jewelry should not be an afterthought for brides as it's the next thing people will see after the dress.
