About Jove Meyer

Being gay and a wedding planner and designer, Jove Meyer has a passion for marriage equality and the LGBTQ+ community and has been advocating for inclusiveness in the wedding industry since 2014. Jove loves to plan and design weddings for members of the LGBTQ+ community and is uniquely qualified to help queer couples navigate the heteronormative wedding industry to create a wedding that is a reflection of their unique love story, styles and personalities! As a gay wedding planner based in New York, Jove loves working with queer couples and ensures the creative partners he works with are not only LGBTQ+ friendly, but are LGBTQ+ loving and excited to be working with his couples! Jove is the creator of the Ally Pledge, a pledge to choose love over hate, that all creative partners agree to and sign before working with him and his couples.

Create Your Own Traditions

Weddings can have a way of looking and feeling the same, mostly based on years of heteronormative wedding traditions rooted in faith. Jove helps queer couples create new traditions that feel authentic to them. He guides them through every step of the process to ensure they show up fully at their wedding, despite possible pressures from family and society to do otherwise. A gay wedding doesn't have to be rainbows, drag queens and showtunesβ€” but, of course it can if that's your thing! Above all, a gay wedding should be authentic to you and your fiance.

Wedding Vendors Who Align With Your Values

Weddings are made up of a million decisions. As an LGBTQ+ wedding planner, Jove guides his queer couples in a relaxed yet fun way to make the best choices for them while collaborating with small businesses owned and operated by women, queer people, and people of color. When you choose Jove as your wedding planner, your wedding will help support and empower marginalized communities.
