We have always treasured people, connection, and love above all else. More than ever, we are finding value in those shared experiences. And so it feels fitting to be looking back on a very special Planners Dining Club in a time when we need these relationships the most. We look to a time of connection. Moments of laughter and warmth and conversations that bind. Our Planners Dining Club has always been about introduction and mingling of industry partners and friends, and it was such an incredible opportunity to be able to take the party upstate for an overnight, full-immersion experience.

Nestled upstate in Amenia, NY lies the gem that is the Troutbeck. Upon first glimpse of the grounds, surrounded by its idyllic greenery and lush gardens, you are transported. From its nostalgic libraries, inviting sunrooms and the contemporary luxuries of each guest room, every space is oozing with charm and history. For this destination event we wanted something unique for our planners. A weekend experience allowed the planners to fully immerse themselves into all that the Troutbeck has to offer, not only through the lens of an industry partner, but more importantly as a guest.

The Troutbeck itself was such a vital piece of the design inspiration. With its charming corners and enchanting details, we wanted to give it space to shine. With a little added flair, of course! As is the case with so many dinner parties, we started our design concept with the tabletop. La Maison Fete’s vintage blue dinnerware charmed us immediately with its promise of history and color, and everything else in the design was layered from there. We wanted to give our vendor partners full freedom of collaboration, and taking our basic concepts of color and the Troutbeck space to heart, they crafted pure magic.

The evening was full of rich conversation and gorgeous ambiance. Hops Petunia adorned the tables with bright flowers and abundant fruits. It was the perfect nod to the richness of the surrounding land and community. We were spoiled with the Troutbeck’s locally sourced menu, enjoying the hearty fare and deliciously crafted drinks. Lael Cakes offered an organic, vegan, and gluten free cake that was adorned with berries, soft florals and hints of gold. It was both beautiful and delicious. As we laughed and connected well into the night, a tarot card reader gave personal readings as an exciting addition to the evening. And the next morning’s private yoga session found us rested and rejuvenated. The heart of Troutbeck spoke to all of us. It was such a memorable weekend with those that are near and dear to us.

It’s the special places, the people, and the value of shared experiences that make events, weddings, dinners, parties, and most moments so very significant. So hold each other tightly, friends. Our connections will always be there.
