Delighting the Senses at Angel Orensanz
We love weddings because they bring together all the elements that couples adore. It becomes a moment devoted to whatever they desire; a single day that rings better than birthdays and holidays. And what could be more exciting than that? It's a culmination of "favorites". Being surrounded by your favorite people, families and friends coming together to celebrate a great love. Bringing in favorite design elements, flowers that you've loved since you can remember, creating an ambiance that you've dreamed of, favorite colors and textures and inspired feelings. Favorite foods and drinks, flavors and tastes. And of course, most importantly of all, being with your favorite person. Starting a life, a forever, that is bound to be "favorite"! Anna and Jason went into their big day knowing their desires. And the result? An incredible celebration that was "so them" through and through.
A delight for all senses, the evening was set at the dramatic and artist Angel Orensanz Foundation for the Arts in the Lower East Side. It's rich colors and classic architectural elements added a sense of richness and theatrical ambiance to the day. A beautiful stage served as not only the central focus point for their ceremony, complete with gorgeous floral archway by 2H Flowers, but turned into a true stage where the bands got everyone to their feet in celebration. The bride, being a rock star musician, even performed with her whole family of musicians to add something truly special to the night.
The night was a splendor of delicious flavors. Guests were treated with oysters and bubbly during cocktail hour. A truly classic choice! Followed by a smorgasbord of the couple's favorite foods and restaurants throughout the city during the reception. Each restaurant provided their own station with variety of food sure to please any palette. The groom, who happens to own his very own bar in the village, Pouring Ribbons, provided delicious cocktails and spirits for the night! Just one more way to add something special and unique to their big day!
It was quite the celebration of love and favorites. Their energized and joyful spirit rang true in every detail, every flavor, every choice they made to create a day that was all theirs! And what a fabulous day it was!
